| 05 MARCH 2009 | The 36th Annual Meeting of the Pacific Seabird Group was held in Hakodate, Japan from 18-26 February 2009. The meeting was a huge success: over 171 participants from 11 countries attended 95 papers and viewed 37 posters. Dr. Haruo Ogi, a founding member of PSG, was the recipient of the PSG Lifetime Achievement Award, and Dr. Yutaka Watanuki received PSG’s 2009 Special Achievement Award. |

Danielle Escene is stepping down as coordinator of the Marbled Murrelet Technical Committee due to a change in work duties. Bill Ritchie has been proposed as the new coordinator. He currently works for the WA Department of Fish and Wildlife and has worked on Marbled Murrelets for years.
